When you’re not in a creative environment or surrounded by those who share you passion its hard to stay motivated. I haven’t been motivated in a long time because of this. I’m still trapped behind a till but now i realise if i want things to change i’m going to have to be the one to change them.
Its now or never basically.
In concerns of my art skills i’m a little rusty and looking back on the work that i’ve done in college and such i realise that i used short cuts. I never truly mastered anatomy or poses. Its only within the last couple of years that i’ve studied more on the subject… but its not enough.
To truly master something you have to work at it every day. Practice, practice, practice until it is engrained.
So that is what i’m going to do.
Here is my plan
In a way i’m unpicking what i have already learned and identifying bad habits… you sort of do that when you have projects to get completed. A reference used here and there is fine but wouldn’t it be quicker if you could draw that pose without it?
So in the words of that dude from Mulan: “Lets get down to business…!”
